Pauline's children

Created by Cath 3 years ago

Pauline lived a full and interesting life, with a constant curiosity in the world, and she had many passions.

From early travels to dancing, cycling, walking and abiding passions for plants, birds and the sea, Pauline's mind was always active. Her career as a nurse was so important to her and she was keen to serve. She was known as very kind hearted by her colleagues.

As a mum, Pauline was engaged and conscientious. She worked extremely hard for her family, taking us to clubs, lessons, holidays, walks and pantomimes. She had many duties on the farm and was devoted to teaching us all to have an interest in the wider world and the skills to live well.

Pauline had an abiding faith, which underpinned her strong belief in and dedication to social justice. She maintained a deep interest in politics, culture and history right to the end and was always fascinated by people and places. She taught us to understand that we are fortunate and that this comes with responsibilities.

Pauline was a determined and principled woman and she tried to pass these qualities onto her children. Her friends told us that she was proud of her children and loved us. Her life was full, meaningful and varied. She will never be forgotten by her family and friends. The words in her chosen hymns and poems tell her story beautifully. She was a traveller in life and will now be at peace after a life well lived.
