I looked up the meaning of the name Pauline and I discovered that it means - Small and that Pauline's are often, shy and quiet. We'll this gave me a smile because Aunty Pauline certainly broke the mold. A tall lady with lots of character and from what I hear a fighter to the end.

She always had a project or two on the go and I remember the endless jars of jam and cakes that she so generously produced for the WI, the hours of work she must have put into it, such dedication.

Her thoughtfulness is something that l will always remember and her kindness too. 

But my everlasting image of aunty Pauline will be with a broom in each hand, stood in the middle of Station Road, steadfast and immovable, one brave lady.
